Tree Removal

Unfortunately some trees need to be removed. This may be because they have out grown their location, have poor form or vigor resulting in serious weakness, suffer from fungal decay or are simply a non native invasive species. 

​

You may have a large conifer that has out grown the garden, a co-dominant stem Sycamore with poor form and weak branch inclusion, a  mature Elm that has died from Dutch Elm Disease or Beech trees taking over a woodland.  We can remove even the most difficult trees by climbing with rope and harness and dismantling the tree(s) using specialised rigging techniques to ensure no damage occurs to your property or services.

Pruning

Sometimes trees just need a bit of pruning to help keep them healthy,  to suit their location or made safe after a storm.

​

It could be a mature oak that needs a crown clean or a young tree needing 

formative pruned. We can advise and carry out the most suitable practice for your trees.

Stump Grinding

Some stumps just get in the way. With the right equipment they can be removed with ease. Fortunately we have a stump grinder on hand ready for the job.

Wood Chipping 

Don't worry about the mess, we can use our wood chipper to chip the branches 

remove it all after finishing the job, alternatively we leave the wood chip to use as mulch for your garden.

Logs

We can remove the logs once the tree(s) have been pruned or removed or if you are planning on using it for fuelling your wood burner we can block it for you.​

​

We also sell firewood and maintain a good stock a seasoned hard and soft wood year round.

Surveys

A survey reports on the current health of the tree. It details any signs of weakness, any past or present pests and diseases, fungi, pruning, history, storm damage and environmental impact. The result of the survey will determine the best course of action and practices are utilised to preserve the health and well being of the tree.

​

Some trees may be under a Preservation Tree Order (PTO), Planning Order, or within a Conservation Area. These trees require permission from the local council before you are legally allowed to remove or begin work on site.

 

A tree survey can provide strong support for an application where one of the above orders is applicable.

 

Storm Damage/Emergency Call Out

Storm damaged / windblown / fallen trees which need making safe. We are available to remove any windblown trees, branches and prune to prevent any further issues. 24 hour call out.
